TWO WEEKS LATER.

Looking back on Valentine's Day. This blog expresses how I felt on that special day.

I have never had a Valentine…
Yes you read that correct.
I have never had a Valentine...

Each Valentine’s day I have always been so hesitant. I did not want to see all of the love posts... You know the ones that make everyone believe that you are the “power couple” “relationship goals”, or even the “he/she is all I need” posts..
yes those…

I would admit on this particular day I somewhat felt miserable, depressed and sad. I would curl up in my room, turn off social media and watch sob stories that allowed me to sulk in my emotions.

Looking back on those Valentine’s Days I was so selfish, because I did not care what others were doing on that day only because I didn’t have anyone to share it with.

So this particular Valentine’s Day, considering I am a hopeless romantic, I decided to share love and truly be happy. I had to realize that I could not let this particular day dictate my mood and even my life; so I chose positivity.

Looking forward, it is important to not make things such a big deal, remembering to relax, have fun, and to have a different perspective with the understanding that things can change.

Next Valentine’s Day I am going to cook my favorite meal, accompanied by my favorite movies like BAPs, Twilight and the Notebook and possibly cuddled up with my significant other.
