Out of the office! (OOTO)
Who doesn’t love a day off, especially when it falls on a week day!
Thanks to Labor Day I was out of the office and you better believe I took full advantage of the day. When I am OOTO I am truly outta there, unless it’s a business emergency that I have to attend to due to being in HR.
Normally when I am OOTO, I would sleep-in, watch Netflix, take several naps (yes, several), and snack all day, but this time I made it a point to get up early to work out, write a blog, create content for the week, watch a couple of episodes of StayHere on Netflix and get prepared for the rest of the week.
I know what you are thinking, ALEX RELAX, you are off of work!!
Yes, I know…. Typically, I don’t want to think about work or all of the tasks that I have to get done for the week, but when I take a moment to complete ONE or TWO tasks that will set me up for the week or tasks that I usually can’t get to during the week, I don’t regret it.
Below are some tasks you can do on your day off:
Meal prep
Listen to a podcast or an audio book
Evaluate your current budget
Clean your work space
Review your investment portfolio or learn about investing
Watch your favorite creative on YouTube for some inspo
Knockout a couple of business tasks
Create your weekly To-Do list
Rest, rest and rest again
Everyone spends their days off differently. There’s no right or wrong way to spend your days off because we all need to recharge, and we know getting prepared for the week and setting yourself up for success is always a good thing.
Just remember to do what is best for you and to keep moving forward!
